Assistant Production Manager

Our client - fragrance supply, distribution, and manufacture - seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Production Manager. The Assistant Production Manager will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes, overseeing production schedules, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining quality standards. 

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Production Manager in planning and organizing production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery of products.
2. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components needed for production.
3. Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
4. Train and supervise production staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities and perform their duties effectively.
5. Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
6. Collaborate with other departments such as quality control, procurement, and logistics to streamline production processes and optimize workflow.
7. Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including inventory levels, production reports, and quality control records.
8. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to production operations, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and profitability.
10. Assist in the evaluation and procurement of new equipment, technologies, and production methods to improve manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Previous experience in production management, preferably in the fragrance industry or related manufacturing sectors.
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
5. Knowledge of production planning and scheduling software systems is preferred.
6. Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements in the fragrance industry is a plus.
7. Leadership abilities with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
10. Willingness to occasionally travel as needed.
