Barista Junior

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Barista with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the industry to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about delivering exceptional coffee experiences, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Espresso Preparation: Expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
2. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, handling inquiries, and maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
3. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of our coffee menu, including specialty drinks, and ability to make recommendations to customers.
4. Maintaining Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
5. Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide customers with receipts.
6. Stocking and Inventory: Monitor and restock coffee beans, milk, and other supplies to ensure continuous operations.
7. Upkeep of the Coffee Shop: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the serving and dining areas, including cleaning tables, counters, and disposing of waste.
8. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
9. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to efficiently handle busy periods and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 1 year working as a Barista in a coffee shop or similar environment.
2. Skills: Proficient in espresso preparation, milk frothing, and latte art. Strong customer service and communication skills.
3. Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
4. Knowledge: Familiarity with various coffee beans, brewing methods, and coffee-related trends.
5. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
6. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting/moving coffee-related equipment.
