Job Description :
- System Oversight: Manage and supervise the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations for pulp production.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards related to wastewater treatment.
- Monitoring: Regularly monitor effluent quality and system parameters to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the ETP infrastructure.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on ETP performance, compliance, and any incidents to relevant authorities.
- Training: Train and educate staff on environmental and safety procedures related to ETP operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in ETP processes to enhance efficiency and environmental impact.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for potential ETP incidents.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Several years of experience in ETP management, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of environmental regulations and standards pertaining to wastewater treatment.
- Process Understanding: Familiarity with pulp and paper manufacturing processes and their impact on wastewater.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
- Leadership: Leadership skills to manage a team and drive environmental initiatives.
- Safety Focus: Prioritize safety in all aspects of ETP operations and maintenance.
