Furniture Manager

Position Overview: 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Furniture Department to lead our creative team. As the Head of Furniture Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and production of custom furniture pieces, ensuring the highest quality standards and innovative design solutions that align with our clients' needs and the firm's vision.

Basic Tasks and Responsibilities: 
- Leadership and Management: 
Lead and manage the Furniture Department team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative and creative work environment. Oversee the entire furniture design process from concept development to production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality custom furniture pieces. 
- Design and Conceptualization: 
Collaborate with clients and Interior Architects to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into innovative and functional furniture designs. Provide creative direction and strategic input in the development of custom furniture pieces, ensuring they align with project goals and client preferences. Reviewing each working drawing completed by the furniture drafter.
- Technical Expertise: 
Utilize advanced furniture design software and tools, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite, to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for custom furniture pieces. Ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications and industry standards in all furniture-related drafts and documentation. 
- Project Coordination: 
Coordinate with project managers, Interior Architects, clients, and furniture manufacturers to integrate furniture design requirements into the overall project plans. Communicate effectively within the team to ensure seamless workflow, project progression, and client satisfaction. 
- Quality Control Processes: 
Develop and implement quality control processes and standards for furniture design and production, ensuring that all custom furniture pieces meet the highest quality standards and client expectations. Establish and conduct regular quality assurance checks throughout the furniture design and production process, identifying and rectifying any errors or discrepancies promptly. 
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the quality and consistency of materials used in custom furniture pieces, conducting thorough inspections and evaluations as needed.

Qualifications: 
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a Furniture Drafter or in a similar role with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. 
• Expertise in furniture design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.). 
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with clients. 
• In-depth knowledge of various materials used in furniture construction and manufacturing processes. 
• Previous experience in custom furniture design for hospitality, residential, or commercial projects is a plus.
