Hull Engineer (New Building)

Job description:

1. Liaise with ship designer, classification society and Client on all Hull & Outfitting engineering.
2. Follow up with all outstanding class comments and ensure close out in a timely manner.
3. Liaise with Designers (Basic and Production) for on-time delivery of drawings 
4. Review all basic, production design drawings.
5. Review and or add Nesting drawings and do material estimation
6. Prepare list of material required for the fabrication of the ship hull and send out the material requests for approval and purchase.
7. Maintain drawing log and issuing of up to date and correct revision drawings to the production team for fabrication.
8. Ensure that CNC Operator is operating the CNC machine correctly and with the correct nesting Codes.
9. On-site verification and rectification for any hull issue.
10. Working with the Hull Supervisor to have Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports for drawings status, Project Status, Man power and etc.
11. Assist in ensuing that the production work are of good quality and workmanship of Sub-contractors.
12. Any other duties that the New Building Specialist will assign.
