About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
  • As Subject Matter Expert for Shared Infrastructure Services (SIS) team in develop and oversee budget planning and processes. This role also responsible in ensuring that the budget is produced in a timely manner and controlled throughout the financial cycle.
  • Support/back up direct line manager to provide Shared Infrastructure Services (SIS) team with a view in identifying the critical areas that can be improved for the next budget forecast.
  • Support/back up direct line manager designing effective budget tracking including analyzing financial information to ensure all planning, initiatives, implementation are within budget.
  • Coordinating annual Technology Obsolescence Exercise with all technology stakeholders (IT Divisions: BTS, SIS, ISTOA, BTOM), provide regular update to T&O management on the committed schedule, in order to ensure the activity key milestone completed in timely manner.
  • Support/back up direct line manager to facilitating, schedule planning, taking minutes of periodic IT Committee (ITC) Rhythms including but not limited to pre-ITC, regular ITC, ad-hoc ITC, and circular memo for approval.
  • Establish periodic reporting for ITC-related (ITC MoM, annual review), and Obsolescence & RTB-related (PSC monthly, Obsolescence recap report, management deck for ITC and Risk Management Committee (RMC), TRM dashboard, business case consolidation with respective SME).
  • Provide consultancy/training for Obsolescence and Run the Bank (RTB) practice to technology stakeholders, and continuously align with the UOOB group standard practice.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the study of information technology, finance / accounting, computer science, or any related field.
  • Experienced in financial accounting at least for 5 years.
  • Experienced in banking systems, banking processes, IT reporting at least for 5 years.
  • Deep knowledge in Financial and Accounting Management, and broader business issue.
  • Fluent in English
  • Planning and Organizational Skills.
  • Analytic Skills, Numerical Skills, Problem Solving, and Detail Oriented.
  • Excellent communication with all levels of stakeholders including but not limited to senior management and Group will be an advantage.
  • Certification: Financial management, BSMR, ITIL, other IT risk-related training will be an advantage.
