About MPW-IDN:

PT. MITSUBISHI POWER INDONESIA (MPW-IDN) was established in 2008 as a brunch of Mitsubishi Power (MPW). Mitsubishi Power is a power solutions brand of MHI. MPW-IDN has integrated functions including marketing of energy and power generation sector, providing solutions with a primary focus on various type of power plants and more locally based after-sales services. Currently, MPW-IDN’s activities are limited to providing marketing and after-sales services to MHI and its group companies without receiving orders from other than MHI group. However, we plan to expand our business to directly provide after-sales services. MPW-IDN envisions to contribute to economic development and sustainable society and to improve quality of life in Indonesia with its abundant experiences worldwide and state-of-art technologies. 

 

Job description

We are looking for a candidate who is willing to work for a Global Company, talented in communication by fully utilizing Bahasa Indonesia and English and with sufficient capability, loyalty to the company, integrity, punctuality, and sense of responsibility. 
The candidate is expected to work at MPW-IDN office as a Field Service & Construction Engineer supervised by Japanese senior manager of construction coordination works. 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

Under supervision from the senior manager, the candidate is required to execute;

  1. Safety and Environment Management
    1. Studies the required safety rules of each plant and project, such as necessary submitted documents, safety induction and protection equipment. 
    2. Monitors and expedites for all operatives to keep required safety rules and environmental requirements during project.
    3. Studies and reports to senior manager and customers the conditions and countermeasures in case accidents and/or incidents are happened in each project.
  2. Quality Management
    1. Studies, reviews and coordinates with other groups regarding the output and quality desired by the customer for each project.
    2. Prepares and takes review by senior manager for the quality assurance documents such as “Work Planning Documents” and “Quality Control Plan” of each work item in each project to meet desired output.
    3. Reviews and analyzes drawings and documents related to site construction works. 
    4. Supervises and manages site based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their controlling quality of works, ensuring method statement and order fulfilment, cleanliness & tidiness, the use of plant and tools, upkeep of plant and facilities.
    5. Reports to the senior manager the status of all on-going projects.
  3. Man Power Management
    1. Prepares and organizes the manpower distribution plans for construction work implementation.
    2. Follows-up with Supervisors/ Foremen their daily activities and manpower distributions.
  4. Schedule Management
    1. Studies, reviews and coordinates with other groups regarding the schedule (the start and finish date, duration) desired by the customer for each project.
    2. Prepares the overall and detailed work schedule planning and take a review for it by senior manager.
    3. Monitors and expedites the actual schedule to meet its plans.
    4. Reports to the senior manager the status of actual schedule.
  5. Budget Management
    1. Prepares and organizes the project estimate cost for each work item for making the proposal to customers.
    2. Studies and reviews the actual budget information of each construction project.
    3. Monitors and expedites the actual project cost to meet its plans.
       
  6. Stakeholders management
    1. Takes the necessary communications with relatives including site work contactors and customers, then expedites to meet desired outputs in all stages, Planning, Preparation, actual site work and Reporting.
    2. Communicate with and report to customers regarding the on-going project status on time.
  7. Trouble Shooting
    1. Reports to the senior manager the status of all problems encountered, immediate solutions and decisions.
    2. Proposes the countermeasures to the customers in case of troubles in construction projects, and then discusses and makes agreements with customers and site work contractors, especially for cost and schedule impacts.
    3. Monitors and expedites the actual work as countermeasures.
    4. Reports to customers the results of countermeasures and remained concerns if any.
    5. Coordinate the team for supporting customer's emergency unit shutdown in accordance with senior manager orders.
       

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher degree from reputable university.
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in field work management for construction works and/or planned/unplanned outage works for Power Plants, Petrochemical Plants or Fertilizer Plants, etc. (knowledge of the steam turbine, boilers and BOPs is plus). Possess high level integrity and ability to work under pressure.
  • Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) skills.
  • Critical, analytical and logical thinker.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (Business level).
  • Knowledge of applicable codes & standards. (Especially ASME codes for power plants)
  • Age maximum 40 years old.
  • Available to travel for work with long term assignment.
