- Perform annual risk assessment to support the development of the risk-based annual internal audit plan and define audit scope on business areas as well as across operational, financial, compliance, credit and other related risks
- Identify requirements and ensure technical knowledge and experience are applied appropriately to business audit reviews in the design and execution of audit planning, fieldwork, reporting and ongoing issues tracking (post report issuance)
- Lead business audit focus through applying risk analytical skills, use of data analytics and professional judgment to identify critical areas to provide internal customers/stakeholders with a quality assessment focusing on key business areas of higher risk from an end-to-end perspective
- Perform continuous risk assessment to monitor and assess any material changes in the technology risk profile of the digital bank on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that business audits are completed in an effective, efficient and timely manner in accordance with established standards, industry best practices and relevant regulatory requirements
- Communicate causes of identified issues and associated risks for improvements in technology controls and processes, and ensure that risk-mitigating actions plans are properly developed and implemented by management
- Ensure that IA team members have a full and complete understanding of the nature and scope of the relevant risks involved by providing guidance and support throughout each audit
- Produce high quality audit deliverables including concise and accurate audit reports for Head of IA’ review
- Provide support in communication with Management, Audit Committee, External Auditors and Regulators, Consultants and other external parties regarding audit related matters
- Collaborate with stakeholders professionally as an independent party where appropriate to identify potential red flags and to validate that the emerging risks are appropriately identified and managed by the bank
- Build trust and credibility with stakeholders through objective and sustainable engagements and where appropriate, provide constructive challenge to improve or enhance internal controls
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional banking audit experience from financial institutions or Big-4 external audit firms with strong demonstrated core business audit skills and knowledge required
- Degree in Accountancy, Business or related studies
- Candidates with Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent will be of added advantage
- Must have the self-drive, knowledge, skills and competencies to examine critical risk areas in which the digital bank operates
- Good experience in leading risk-based internal audits, teams, interacting with key stakeholders and managing complex negotiation situations
- Good knowledge of MAS banking regulations with relevant demonstrated experience
- Good audit exposure and experience in risk governance, retail products and regulatory compliance areas
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills, and ability to collaborate and influence both internal and external stakeholders objectively
- Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence organization to accomplish goals
- Team player, focused, passionate, with ability to inspire confidence in employees and senior management
- Highly motivated, with willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, uncertainties, information, and challenges in a growing start-up
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to work both independently with sole responsibility and as part of a team to deliver quality work product in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in data analytics and visualization tools is an added advantage
