We are seeking Manager, Workforce Strategy and Planning who is a transformational leader, does not fear change and has an innovative mindset to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Data works workforce strategy, as well as overseeing HR historical reporting. They will work closely with the HR team, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure that the company has the right talent in the right roles to achieve its goals. This role will require an individual who has a friendly, approachable, and professional presence, is results and efficiency oriented, great at balancing multiple priorities, optimistic with a relationship building mindset, a superb communicator across a vast stakeholder group, and brings an entrepreneurial and pioneering spirit.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and develop a team of analysts.
- Develop and execute the company's workforce strategy and organizational design, including resource allocation, retention, and development plans. There is a specific focus on platform data engineers, data scientists and digital product managers.
- Forecast the impact of demographic shifts and external factors, predicts new roles and competencies needed for the workforce; performs gap analysis between talent supply and demand; make recommendations between build, buy, borrow to close talent gaps, and ensure the right talent in the right job.
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving the company's talent management practices
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their talent needs and provide guidance on workforce planning and development
- Manage a vendor team of industrial organizational psychologists to support organizational design, talent assessments, and leadership development
- Oversee the design and development of validated and legally defensible organizational structures that result in an effective and efficient workforce and organization.
- Lead the development of HR metrics and reporting to track the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on key workforce trends and issues
- Project manage and lead internal initiatives from a workforce strategy or reporting perspective. Successfully manage multiple priorities under tight time frames.
- Work with HR Director and senior leadership team to drive a culture that embodies the company’s values
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR colleagues, business leaders, and other stakeholders
- Maintaining a positive mindset, encourage teamwork, and act as an impeccable FedEx brand ambassador.
Skills Considered a Plus:
- Experience in analyzing data to support organizational design decisions and implications required.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data sets
- Experience developing and executing workforce plans, including talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies
- Demonstrated success thriving under pressure and ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, meet deadlines, facilitate change, and delegate responsibilities
- Experience preparing and delivering executive level presentations to inform business leaders
- Expert level knowledge and commercial consulting experience with Organization Design and Effectiveness methodologies and implementation processes
- Experience using Workday, Workday Prism Reporting and/or PowerBI preferred
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification a plus
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of demonstrated success with organization design including operating models, governance and organization structure design and role design in global matrixed organizations preferred.
- People leadership experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and oversight
- Proven interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to sift through complicated business issues and communicate only the important aspects in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
