Responsibilities:
Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement Montessori-based lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum framework and the developmental needs of each child.
- Create a stimulating and orderly classroom environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and independent learning.
- Utilize Montessori materials and resources effectively to facilitate hands-on, experiential learning experiences.
Individualized Instruction:
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse learning styles, abilities, and interests of students.
- Observe and assess each child's progress and developmental milestones, and provide ongoing feedback to parents and caregivers.
Classroom Management:
- Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom community where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to take ownership of their learning.
- Establish clear expectations for behavior and maintain a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere within the classroom.
Parent Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents and caregivers regarding their child's academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with parents to support the continuity of learning between home and school, and provide guidance on Montessori principles and practices.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with research and best practices in Montessori education, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Engage in reflective practice and seek feedback from colleagues to continuously improve teaching strategies and classroom practices.
