Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in Process Engineering, preferably in the sugarcane or agricultural industry, with a minimum of 6 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of sugarcane processing techniques, equipment, and technologies, as well as familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel to plantation sites and other locations as needed.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Process Engineers responsible for optimizing operations.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and reduce production costs.
- Design and execute experiments and trials to evaluate new technologies, equipment, and process parameters.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plantation processes and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in plantation operations and Process Engineering.
