Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Location: Gili Air, Indonesia

Salary: IDR 7,500,000 - 11,000,000 per month

Introduction:

Welcome to Green Cafe, Gili Air, where families come together to enjoy wholesome cuisine and indulge in enriching play experiences for children of all ages.

Concept:

At Green Cafe, we aim to provide a space where families can unwind. While children engage in supervised play both indoors and outdoors, adults can relax in a comfortable environment, whether socializing with friends, working remotely, or simply enjoying a moment of peace.

The Play equipment and children's activities provided at the Green Cafe will befacilitated by a team of on sight nannies, trained by our sister organisation, Bumi Kecil Kindergarten. It is therefore required that the Restaurant Manager work closely with our focal pointfrom the school and nannies to ensure the following;

Child-Centered Practices:

Ensure the safety and hygiene of all play equipment and materials.

Oversee staff adherence to child safety policies and procedures at all times.

Collaborate closely with the focal point from Bumi Kecil Kindergarten to uphold child-centeredpractices.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and inspire a small team of 10 dedicated staff members to deliver exceptional service and create a welcoming environment for families.

Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure all team members perform their duties effectively and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.

Schedule shifts and manage labor costs effectively.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellent customer service.

Operations Management:

Supervise daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.

Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and vendor relations.

Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain high food quality and service standards.

Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant premises to create a safe and inviting atmosphere for guests.

Financial Management:

Manage budgetary goals and financial performance targets, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability.

Manage restaurant budgets and expenses to achieve profitability targets.

Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities for revenue growth.

Implement cost-control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review.

Customer Service Excellence:

Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service and addressing any concerns or feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Interact with guests to build rapport, gather feedback, and continually improve their caf experience.

Menu Development and Quality Control:

Collaborate with the kitchen to develop and refine menus that reflect our commitment to healthy eating and quality ingredients.

Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and taste, adhering to established recipes and standards.

Community Engagement and Promotion:

Act as a brand ambassador for the Green Cafe, engaging with the local community and fostering positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and drive revenue growth.

Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and drive sales.

Utilize social media platforms and other marketing channels to promote Green Cafe's unique business model.

Collaborate with the marketing team to organize special events and promotions.

Requirements:

Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a family-friendly or childcare-focused environment.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and child safety practices.

Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory management.

Creativity and innovation in marketing and promotional activities.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
