About Our Client

Our client is a leading multinational retail sports company, known for its commitment to delivering top-quality sports products and an exceptional customer experience.

As a Country Retail Merchandising Manager, you will collaborate with the Country Merchandising Manager, the role involves overseeing the implementation of a seasonal buy strategy and curating a profitable, well-rounded range that resonates with the Company's Brand Strategy and supports key country objectives.

The responsibilities include efficiently managing in-season trading, making informed inventory decisions, and effectively communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Seasonal Buy Execution : This involves aligning purchases with OTB & Budget parameters, defining assortments based on market and customer profiles, and participating in seasonal kickoff meetings.

Timely submission of orders, management of product mix, and strategic decisions based on historical data and sales channels are crucial.

Additionally, ensuring the seasonal line meets margin and sell-through targets while reviewing performance against expectations and predicting future trends are integral parts of the process.

Effective and Efficient In-Season Rollout : Coordinating with VM & Retail Operations to align with the Global direction, gathering feedback from Brand ambassadors, and monitoring competitors.

Ensuring timely launches, maintaining communication with VM & Retail OPs, and participating in meetings and retail visits are key.

Additionally, aligning best practices across territories is essential for consistent implementation.

Alignment of Best Practices Across Territory : Adhere to and implement existing best practices consistently across various platforms, ensuring clarity and efficiency in functional work processes.

Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 3 years of experience in retail or merchandising, preferably in a fashion or branded retail setting.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field.
  • Demonstrated focus on consumers and retail.
  • Proven proficiency in retail mathematics and understanding of factors influencing business and store performance.
  • Ability to take calculated risks, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and decisive approach.
  • Solutions-oriented, results-driven, highly organized, and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
