Tour Consultant

We are currently seeking a Tour Consultant to join our rapidly growing and well-established tour and travel business, Backpacker Korea. As a Tour Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our target market, which primarily consists of middle to upper-class customers. This position is suitable for both fresh graduates from vocational schools (SMK) and individuals with a Bachelor's degree in Tourism.

Responsibilities

1. Exclusive Private Tour Creation:

- Design and create exclusive private tour packages for customers, focusing on unique and off-the-beaten-path experiences in Korea.

- Research and stay updated on the latest trends and destinations in Korea to ensure the development of innovative and attractive tour products.

2. Daily Reporting:

- Prepare accurate and detailed daily reports on tour activities, including customer feedback, issues, and recommendations.

- Maintain comprehensive records of tour expenses, receipts, and other relevant documentation.

3. Customer Service:

- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries, requests, and concerns through various communication channels (phone, email, social media).

- Offer professional and personalized recommendations based on customers' preferences, interests, and budget.

- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues or complaints effectively and in a timely manner.

4. Invoice Creation:

- Generate invoices for tour bookings, ensuring accuracy in pricing, services included, and payment terms.

- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure proper billing and timely collection of payments.

5. Team Coordination and External Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with the tour operations team to ensure smooth execution of tour itineraries and customer requirements.

- Communicate and coordinate with external partners, such as hotels, transportation providers, and local guides, to ensure seamless logistics for tour packages.

Qualifications

- Minimum high school diploma (SMK) or Bachelor's degree in Tourism or related fields.

- Passion for the tourism industry and extensive knowledge of Korean culture, attractions, and destinations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple customer requests simultaneously.

- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks.

- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Indonesian.

- Familiarity with travel booking systems and software is a plus.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per tour requirements.
