Unilever is currently hiring forAssistant Brand Manager - Lifebuoy Social Missionbased in BSD Tangerang, Indonesia

ROLE BACKGROUND

With a rich history dating back to its inception in 1894, Lifebuoy has been synonymous with cleanliness and personal hygiene, initially gaining recognition for its classic red bar of soap. Today, the brand has evolved significantly, offering a myriad of soap variants, liquid body washes and hand washes, and hand sanitizers, ensuring daily hygiene and freshness for the entire family. Lifebuoy is not just a product but a movement towards healthier societies with a deep-rooted purpose. Since 2010, Lifebuoy has successfully reached over 1 billion people through its hand hygiene programs and impactful TV communications that help mothers keep their children healthy and safe. To do this, the brand has worked extensively with NGOs across the world running behaviour change programs that have proven to drive handwashing with soap practice at critical occasions impacting health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnership lead and prime liaison for ongoing immunisation and handwashing program between Lifebuoy and The Global Vaccine Alliance (GAVI) in Indonesia, Sesame Street Workshop in South Africa and Bharat Guides and Scouts in India.
  • Lead expansion of Lifebuoy's partnership portfolio by scoping out funding, partner and advocacy opportunities for 2024-2026 specially for Indonesia, India, South Africa with focus on NGOs
  • Relaunch Lifebuoy's decade old handwashing behaviour change material into a unified and multichannel program
  • Manage local and global PR for Lifebuoy across programs, partnerships and behaviour change campaigns
  • Manage Lifebuoy's Global Handwashing Day campaign from ideation to execution keeping the brand's deep-rooted legacy in teaching children the importance of washing hands at critical occasions.
  • Be the key liaison between the brand and agencies, NGOs, donors and private sector.
  • Manage internal comms for Lifebuoy ensuring the brand continues to remain unmissable among the entire PC community.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Deep understanding of Lifebuoy's brand trajectory as Number 1 hygiene brand and experts in driving behaviour change.
  • +6 years of practical experience in similar positions across the development sector with a core focus on maternal and child health.
  • Proven expertise in creating communication that changes behaviour.
  • Significant project management experience working with global NGOs such as Save The Children, UNICEF, GAVI and local NGOs such as Group M, BBC Media Action in the WASH sector
  • Vast experience working closely with media/advertising agencies such as Mindshare, Mullen Lowe, NGOs, donors such as GAVI and the private sector
  • Deep understanding of advocacy and experience in liaising with government ministries
  • Good verbal and writing skills to support Lifebuoy programs and partnerships across our key markets
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites
  • Ability to work on own initiative and organize time effectively within a range of often conflicting timelines and locations.
  • Strong stakeholder and project manager management skills to manage work both within Unilever as well as outside
  • Adept working on MS Office key applications - PowerPoint, excel and word.
  • Strong commitment to learning fast and delivering quickly
  • A passion for brand development specially in the realm of communication
