Job Description

• Conduct and review general accounting activities prepared by accounting staff including review manual journal (accrual, amortization, reclassification, depreciation, and adjustment) in the month-end and year-end closing

• Review allocation charges, such as cost allocation to relevant field, inter block and cost allocation from head office charges

• Prepare and manage the internal financial reports (JIB) and consolidated report for PSC and Corporate level.

• Review periodically the reconciliation of bank balance, account payable, and inventory purchase/usage with general ledger

• Review vendor payment process to ensure that payment is not exceeding defined due data and/or fulfilling special payment request

• Review crude oil invoices process from preparation to submission of the documents to Local and International Buyers and correspondence banks 

• Coordinate with Senior Tax Accountant in processing the monthly tax payments

• Coordinate with Government Reporting and Audit Coordinator in providing data for SKK Migas/Government Auditor request

• As counter part of external auditor from public accounting firm

• Assists headquarter accountant in preparing statutory finance report to Toronto Stock Exchangepoint

Requirements

Degree:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting

Master Degree in Accounting/Finance is preferable

Skills:

• Proficient in PSC and IFRS accounting standard, taxation and consolidation report

• Familiar with relevance software: MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and accounting software

• Demonstrate presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships both internally and externally with staff, peers, users and headquarter

• Excellent knowledge of applicable oil and gas industry standards and business processes

Experiences:

• 10 Years in Oil and Gas industry

• 5 Years in Supervisory level
