Role:
ACR Tax Consultant Manager requires demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing team. Proven capabilities of setting up Finance Operations, managing process, month end close, account reconciliation and financial reporting processes.
Your key responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert in processing bookkeeping and management accounting deliverables (i.e., financial statements and management reports)
- Detailed review of accounts, schedules, and workings prepared by staff members (preparers) and seniors (first-level reviewers) to ensure they are completed timely and of expected quality
- Meticulous adherence to the compliance calendar of client to ensure smooth closing of books of accounts, statutory reporting
- Coordinate and review month end processes and reports
- Liaise with various clients to ensure exceptional client service delivery
- Coordinate the global corporate accounting process and/ or statutory reporting compliance for Global Clients
- Own the legal entity or set of legal entities trial balance for accuracy and act as the Controller for those
- Front ending client to provide exceptional client service on delivery
- Liaise with the Client Global Process Owners on the accounting processes and continuous improvement opportunities
- Own and maintain internal and external reporting dashboards to demonstrate progress of activities and status quo of multi country engagements
- Effective work planning and capacity planning to support other colleagues
- Lead process improvement initiatives and other projects within the ACR team
- Challenge status quo processes and desire to implement process improvements by providing lean ideas, enforcing an environment with uncompromising controls and improve quality
- Actively establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships both internally within the EY network and externally with clients
- Lead engagement development activities and marketing of service capabilities to external and internal clients

Skills and attributes for success
- Solid accounting or audit experience
- Hands on experience in any of the ERP (MS Navision/Business Central preferred)
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, aspirational, and result oriented
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree, major in Accountancy
- At least 7 years of relevant practical accounting, audit, or finance experience (preferably from Big 4 accounting firms)
- Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA) or Cost Accountant CWA/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Experience in managing and handling multiple engagements, tasks, processes, and/or projects
- Experience in supervising and reviewing deliverables of team members
- Problem-solving/issue resolution skills
- Proficient English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS is essential
- Proven capabilities of setting up multi-country finance operations, process management, month end close, account reconciliation and financial reporting processes
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in developing teams and ability to manage a team of experienced finance colleagues.
- Proven track of working with leaders from across geographies and managing the deliverables under fast-changing expectations with accurate quality in a metrics environment.
- Outlook towards increasing the productivity and resource utilization, and ability to effectively implement the process change with adequate engagement support.
- Exposure on International assignments on F & A Transitions, Auditing, Consulting, or other engagements is an added advantage for this role.
