Bambu Indah is a tiny luxurious boutique hotel encapsulating old school Bali; peaceful, laidback and in harmony with nature. Tamarind, cinnamon, palm and bayan trees cascade down steep jungle slopes to an enchanting river with natural swimming pools fed by dancing waterfalls. In 2005 they installed eleven antique Javanese bridal homes collected on their travels on a jungle cliff top overlooking padi fields, inviting first their friends to stay and then turning it into a hotel. Since then, they have evolved with ecological mindfulness to expand Bambu Indah down to the river, building a range of spectacular and utterly original buildings all made from their signature material, bamboo. Today travelers come from all over the world, drawn by their dream of a regenerative world where nothing is used which cannot be composted back into the earth. This garden of Eden is their home which they share with you.
Qualifications & experience
- Master's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural management or related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in agricultural techniques, practices, and technologies, including crop rotation, soil management, irrigation systems, and pest control.
- Knowledge of agricultural regulations, safety standards, and environmental sustainability practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies to optimize agricultural operations.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans for crop cultivation, considering factors like soil quality, climate, market demand, and available resources.
- Monitor crop health, growth, and development, and implement measures to prevent or mitigate pest and disease outbreaks.
- Manage resources such as land, water, fertilizers, and pesticides efficiently and sustainably.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of agricultural inputs to prevent waste and environmental contamination.
- Develop and manage budgets for agricultural operations, including expenses for seeds, equipment, labor, and maintenance.
- Implement sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact and preserve natural resources.
- Explore opportunities for organic or regenerative agriculture practices to promote soil health and ecosystem resilience.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
