Assistant Production Manager - Women's Fashion Store

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process of our Women's Fashion products. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the fashion industry.  As Assistant Production Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of our production operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from sourcing materials to delivering finished products. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of different types of fabrics, tech packs, fabric consumption, and quality control procedures with excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end production process, from sourcing materials to final product delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop production plans and schedules that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure cost-effective and timely production.
• Monitor production budgets and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
• Monitor fabric consumption and optimize production processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.
• Address any production-related issues or delays promptly and effectively, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in production management, incorporating relevant innovations into our processes.
• Create and review tech packs to communicate design specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any production issues or deviations from standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the fashion industry, preferably in women's apparel.
• Proven track record of successfully managing the production process, including sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal management.
• In-depth knowledge of different types of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting tech packs, pattern making, and understanding production processes.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
