Job Summary

The Assistant PurchasingManager position will be based in Batam, Indonesia.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies

• Manage daily purchasing activities

• Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts

• Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs

• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, internal teams such as supply chain, planning, and customers

• Manage material supply chain situation and escalation

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the similar capacity

• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Demonstrates basic functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills

• Demonstrates skills in functional/ technical area

• Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems
