About the RoleAs a Gopay Project Accounting Assistant Manager, you will support your manager in supervising and ensuring the projects already fulfill all of the accounting requirements . You will also collaborate with other departments/functions to identify and rectify some accounting issues and propose for improvement.
What You Will Do
- Assisting Project Accounting Manager for assessing and implementing the process improvement for the accounting team.
- Assisting Project Accounting Manager on assessing the accounting requirement on the newly implemented products within Gopay.
- Ensuring the progress the progress of each accounting projects keeping track of and ensure that queries to and from other teams are addressed promptly
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
What You Will Need
- At least 3 years experience at Big 4 Public Accounting Firm is mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university
- Fluent in English (Oral and Written)
- Solid knowledge of accounting policies/procedures and financial statements
- High attention to detail
- A strong problem-solving, process improvement minded in order to resolve and prevent any accounting issue
- Excellent time and self-management. Ability to prioritize, operate with minimum supervision and multitasking capabilities to meet deadlines is required
- Willing to work overtime / long hours
Our General Accounting team, a sub-pod of the Finance, Accounting and Tax (FAT) team, has 128 team members based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Working alongside the Finance and Financial Planning & Control teams, we manage Gojek accounting processes and consolidation treatment, including establishing an effective and efficient workflow within the accounting team and liaising with the internal and external parties. As a team, we constantly keep tabs on the ever-dynamic evolution of accounting theory and its daily implementation to deliver qualified financial service products with less friction to our users. Every product is unique and requires a specific accounting assessment at every stage. As geeky as it sounds, we are passionate about identifying and resolving accounting-reporting related issues. Currently, we've been hard at work on aligning our policies and procedures with our global teams, which will help our platform increase its competitiveness in the global market from a financial reporting perspective, and establish more reliable data and a more cohesive financial reporting process. We are a close-knit group of fintech enthusiasts, sports junkies, food-blogger wannabes, promo hunters, amateur dancers, jokesters and travel addicts.
