Duty and Responsibilities:
- Braise and grill meat and vegetables with a high degree of skill
- Prepare and cook select cuts of meat in our authentic style
- Season and grill food with our traditional methods
- Portion, garnish and present cuts to the patrons
- Live the Churrascaria spirit
- Assist in maintaining inventory by tracking, labeling, and replacing key ingredients
- Prepare meat and vegetables by slicing, cutting, shredding, and tenderizing them as needed
- Communicate with the head chef and wait staff to ensure the timely delivery of all meals
- Follow all relevant food health and safety guidelines
- Maintain a workstation that is both clean and sanitary
- Communicate with the restaurant manager about any kitchen supplies and upgrades that are needed
- Accomplish any opening or closing duties
Requirements:
- High school or Culinary art / Hospitality and Tourism Diploma
- Speak and understand English is a MUST
- Have no issue to work with / in a pork environment
- Previous restaurant experience, preferably as a BBQ Chef for minimum 3 years ( Experience on Brazilian restaurant is a plus)
- Must have experience in Brazilian Churrasco
- Must be able to transport objects up to 50lbs
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong communication skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of and willingness to embrace important food health and safety guidelines
- Willingness to continue learning and improving your craft
