About The Role: 

1. Fulfill Merchant Success Role in DOKU

2. Drive company growth by maintaining top merchants across various industries.

What Will You Do:

1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Identify and target potential customers through research, networking, and lead-generation activities.

Qualify leads to determine their potential as customers.

2. Sales Presentations:

Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of the enterprise software.

Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and pain points of potential clients.

3. Client Needs Analysis:

Understand the unique requirements and challenges of potential clients.

Conduct needs assessments to determine how the software can address and solve client issues.

4. Proposal Development:

Create and present proposals that outline the software solution, pricing, and terms.

Work closely with the sales team and other departments to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals.

5. Negotiation:

Engage in negotiations with clients to finalize contract terms, pricing, and other relevant details.

Address objections and concerns raised by clients during the negotiation process.

6. Relationship Building:

Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.

Act as a liaison between the client and the company to ensure customer satisfaction.

7. Sales Target Achievement:

Set and achieve sales targets and quotas within specified timeframes.

Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.

8. Market Research:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.

Use market intelligence to position the software effectively and identify opportunities for improvement.

9. Pipeline Management:

Manage and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking the progress of leads through the sales process.

Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools to organize and manage customer interactions.

10. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive and customer-focused approach.

Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and marketing strategies.

11. Documentation and Reporting:

Keep detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions.

Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.

12. Customer Training and Onboarding:

Assist in the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of the software.

Provide training and support to clients as needed.

Given the dynamic nature of the Farmer role, this role must be agile, proactive, and have a keen sense for opportunities in various industries.
  • Proactive Attitude: The ability to take the initiative in maintaining existing merchants without waiting for direction so that relationships are maintained well, with clear and friendly communication with each merchant.
  • Persuasiveness: Maintaining a scalable merchant success team to improve transactions is crucial. A persuasive manner can make a significant difference in maintaining activities
  • Resilience and Tenacity: The ability to remain positive and focused despite setbacks is vital for long-term success.
  • Excellent Networking Skills: Building and maintaining a strong professional network is important for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Strong Closing Abilities: Once an upselling opportunity has been identified and engaged, the ability to close the deal effectively is crucial. This skill is particularly valuable in a farmer's role where acquisition is the primary objective.
  • Analytical Mindset: The ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competition is important for targeting the right merchants effectively.
  • Quick Decision-making: In a fast-paced environment, quick and effective decision-making skills can be a game-changer.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Understanding the emotional needs and motivations of both team members and potential clients can greatly assist in negotiation and relationship-building processes.

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of merchant acquisition in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of various industries and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid changes.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is required for local interactions and market understanding.
  • Native Chinese Mandarin, & English Speaker (Written and oral)
