Some of your duties will include:
- Identifying and monitoring changes that impact the project baselines.
- Inputting trends and PCNs into the cost control system, when approved.
- Allocation of budget to new packages as part of budget transfers.
- Forecasting costs and summarisation of total forecasts.
- Identification of trends for unawarded scope and preparation of trend reports.
- Preparation / production of cost reports at all levels of detail.
- Provide estimates as and when required to support cost forecasting.
- Track, analyse and control costs associated with supply and construction work packages
- Provide cost control support for all packages which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress in the preparation of customer billing processes, etc
- Liaise with site Owner’s operations in the use of resources (equipment, material and services) to validate it is being tracked and correctly allocated as a cost to the project. Includes use of fuel, accommodation, equipment, transportation to site.
- Review and analysis of Daily, Weekly and Monthly contractors’ reports.
- Provide internal reporting and presentations as required in relation to cost budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in cost control preferably in mining/metal processing/industrial project
- Minimum 5 years of relevant estimating experiences
- Minimum 5 years of change management experience
- Experience in managing construction projects in a remote site location
- Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
