AYANA Hospitality is seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Butcher to join our team at AYANA Komodo. As a Commis Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meats according to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect meat deliveries to ensure freshness and quality
  • Prepare cuts of meat according to established standards
  • Trim, bone, tie, and grind meats as needed
  • Assist with the preparation of meat products such as sausages and cured meats
  • Maintain a clean and organized butchery area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis Butcher or similar role
  • Knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper butchery techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, culinary school or formal culinary training preferred
