Job Description for Construction Quality Control Supervisor (Spv QC Construction):
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs for construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship, materials, and construction methods meet established standards.
2. Inspection and Testing:
- Perform inspections and tests at various stages of construction, including foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing work.
- Identify and report deviations from project specifications and quality standards.
3. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and any corrective actions taken.
- Prepare comprehensive Quality Control reports for project management.
4. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with project requirements.
5. Problem-Solving:
- Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Analyze root causes of problems and recommend preventive measures.
Requirements:
1. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Experience:
- Proven experience in Construction Quality Control with a minimum of 2 years as inspector, or 1 year as Supervisor.
3. Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in Quality Control or construction management are desirable.
4. Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
5. Communication:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders effectively.
6. Detail-Oriented:
- Exceptional attention to detail for identifying and addressing Construction Quality issues.
7. Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze complex Construction Quality issues and implement effective solutions.
