Contract Logistics Distribution Transport Planning Specialist

• To work closely with both warehouse + distribution teams, ensuring efficient transport plans are produced 
  in line with timelines + customer requirements.
• To assist in achieving key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, 
  customer service + profit.
• You will have access to state of the art systems + tools, to continually challenge the status quo to deliver 
  improvements.
• To support all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence; collaborating 
  with others as required.
• To actively support new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, meeting or exceeding
  productivity targets.
• To contribute information when required for reporting + performance management.

• Experience working in logistics – Distribution.
• Experience handling operational / drivers team
• Proficiency in transportation planning methodologies, including route optimization, load consolidation, carrier selection, and scheduling.
• Familiarity with supply chain management concepts and practices, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and order fulfilment processes.
• Ability to utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other relevant software for planning, tracking, and optimizing transportation activities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination.
