As a Control System and Calibration Engineer supporting the Engineering Team, you will be trusted to work at the Batam Plant. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and accurate measurement based on company implemented policy (internal/global Alcon quality procedure, HSE, DI, GDP, SOP, and 5S). In this role, a typical day will include:
Provide technical and non-technical support of automation systems in various developmental projects including system design, development, setup, documentation, budgeting, and resolving automation issues
Understanding of calibration principles, techniques, and familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 17025, ISO 9001)
Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies in computerized systems and Calibration activities
Develop SOPs and Work Instructions
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Degree in Engineering or a Relevant field
5 years of practical experience working with diverse systems and equipment in the pharmaceutical or medical devices regulated manufacturing environment and has been involved in Engineering project
Proficient in communicating in English both verbally and written
Proficiency in programming languages (automation scripts) and using statistical tools such as PLC, SCADA, SQR etc
Knowledge of measurement instruments, calibration standards, and procedures
Strong Project Management and Communication skills: Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing project timelines
