Crewing Recruitment Officer

We’re currently hiring a Crewing Recruitment Officer for our client , a shipment of dry bulk commodities company in Jakarta.
Responsibility:

• Take a lead role in the crew recruitment and make suggestions for the continuous improvement of recruitment processes.
• Actively source candidates matching the requirements of the company.
• Maintain a full understanding of all positions onboard and their job scope.
• Participate in crew training and performance monitoring process.
• Monitor budget and expenditure
• Provides proposals for initiatives to further enhance the company’s recruitment strategies. 
• Maintain communication and relationships with crewing agencies and internal stakeholders for crew recruitment.
• Lead in candidate screening and evaluation process 
• Verify qualifications and certificates of potential and/or newly recruited crew.
• Hold regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to identify recruitment requirements and update on recruitment progress.
• Manage job advertisements on internal and external platforms and ensure maximum exposure is achieved.
• Attends job fairs, schools and colleges and areas where seafarers may be located to further promote recruitment initiatives.
   

Qualification:

• Has 2 years in seafarer recruitment and 4 years at sea
• Holder of an STCW Engineer Officer Certificate of Competence
• Proficient in English
• Good knowledge in MS Excel, Word and PPT
• Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work after office hours (if necessary)
• Willing to travel
