We’re currently hiring a Crewing Recruitment Officer for our client , a shipment of dry bulk commodities company in Jakarta.
Responsibility:
- Take a lead role in the crew recruitment and make suggestions for the continuous improvement of recruitment processes.
- Actively source candidates matching the requirements of the company.
- Maintain a full understanding of all positions onboard and their job scope.
- Participate in crew training and performance monitoring process.
- Monitor budget and expenditure
- Provides proposals for initiatives to further enhance the company’s recruitment strategies.
- Maintain communication and relationships with crewing agencies and internal stakeholders for crew recruitment.
- Lead in candidate screening and evaluation process
- Verify qualifications and certificates of potential and/or newly recruited crew.
- Hold regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to identify recruitment requirements and update on recruitment progress.
- Manage job advertisements on internal and external platforms and ensure maximum exposure is achieved.
- Attends job fairs, schools and colleges and areas where seafarers may be located to further promote recruitment initiatives.
Qualification:
- Has 2 years in seafarer recruitment and 4 years at sea
- Holder of an STCW Engineer Officer Certificate of Competence
- Proficient in English
- Good knowledge in MS Excel, Word and PPT
- Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to work after office hours (if necessary)
- Willing to travel
