Job description (Data Governance & Quality Manager)
The Data Governance and Quality Manager oversees the development and implementation of Data Governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to data quality standards and policies.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish data management protocols, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in data quality practices to enhance organizational decision-making processes.
The manager also plays a key role in resolving data quality issues and promoting a culture of data stewardship.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science or other relevant degrees
- 4+ years of relevant experience developing & managing Data Governance, data quality and data security practices.
- Having experience in implementing data privacy standards as stipulated in Data Privacy Protection Law in his / her previous organization is preferable.
- Has hands on experiences with Reporting tools (SQL, Tableau, PowerBI or similar technologies) in order to create monitoring system for all Data Governance processes.
- Experienced in ETL tools, data modelling and have proficient knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases : the ability to write, execute and interpret queries is essential.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and manage risks associated with existing data sharing processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and security complies with established guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support in resolving Data Governance issues and escalations.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering insights and recommendations on Data Governance strategies and improvements.
- Document company’s data catalogue and business glossary and maintain catalogue to synchronize with business term’s changes.
- Develop and implement data quality standards and procedures and monitor and escalate any data quality issue across the company’s data or applications.
- Manage data retention policies and process and ensure data retention policies and process are implemented across the company.
- Engage and advise business / support units to ensure that they have strong awareness of Data Privacy requirements and perform adequate Data Privacy risk’s assessments.
- Monitoring and reporting of ongoing Personal Data Protection effectiveness.
- Monitor and oversee the implementation of Data Privacy controls across the Company.
- Develop and provide training and awareness sessions for business / support units and third parties.
- Remain up to date on relevant consumer protection, privacy and data security laws and regulations, as well as on technological developments, threat vectors, and evolving industry standards to ensure an ongoing ability to provide sound compliance advice.
