Data Protection Associate (Governance & Advisory)

Job Description

• Develop the Data Protection related policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and the evolving risk profile of the organization.

• Undertake research of international Data Protection requirements

• Proactively maintain, update and operate procedures in support of the Data Protection Policy and associated Group Data Protection Standards

• Draft Data Protection communications for the business

• Stay abreast of developments in Data Protection practice and law

• Support the delivery of business-focussed Data Protection awareness sessions

• Own and respond to business queries on Data Protection policies and standards

• A graduate ideally holds a Law degree, legal qualification or equivalent.

• Able to work independently and proactively

• Good knowledge of GDPR and International Data Protection requirements

• Good knowledge of Data Protection methods, practices and regulations.

• Good knowledge of information technology, information and/ or cyber security methods, practices and regulations desirable

• Good influencing, negotiating, planning, organizing and analysis skills

• Good analytical skills, including the ability to assess risk and impact from a privacy and Data Protection perspective

• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

• Ability to interact within team environment critical

• Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales imposed by legislation and business need
