Now we are looking for a dynamic, outgoing and enthusiastic – Director of Event Service with strong background and experience in Large Events, Conference and Meeting to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at Grand Hyatt Bali.

The Director of Event Service will be responsible for operational related to events, conference and meeting. The Director of Event Servicealso responsible for handling guests and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.  

 As a Director of Event Service, you will be reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage Service and below are some of the key responsibilities:

  • Assists to ensure that the Food and Beverage activities are aligned with the respective Corporate Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.
  • Ensures that all employees deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service and provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
  • Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Maximizes employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
  • Assists with the preparation and regular update of the Conferences and Banquets Departmental Budget, in close cooperation with the Director of Food and Beverage ensuring targets are met and costs are effectively controlled. 
  • Assists Catering/ Banquet Sales in identifying market needs and trends. 
  • Evaluates local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations constantly to make sure that the hotel’s operations remain competitive and cutting edge.
  • Ensures that all Touches of Hyatt and the Food and Beverage Top 20 are implemented.
  • Works closely with other Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
  • Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all Conferences and Banquets employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
  • Ensures that employees follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
  • Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
