PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $188,700-$230,800 annually. The full Pay Range is $146,900-$272,700 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant.
Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

What You'll Do :
- Partner with business leadership to determine the best options for modernizing our Lending and Card related systems to drive value for our members
- Leadership Excellence : Adhere to BECU’s Performance Competencies and compliance standards. Provide mentorship, training, and performance reviews to encourage and enhance team performance.
- Strategic Architectural Vision : Develop and refine strategic and tactical architectural designs to boost software delivery and operational capabilities.
- Alignment Leader : Align product and domain architectures with enterprise-wide standards, ensuring strategic coherence.
- Risk Communicator : Highlight operational and cybersecurity risks linked to Technology Architecture, ensuring transparency and proactive management.
- Best Practices Advocate : Publish and promote architectural best practices, fostering a community of practice.
- Digital Champion : Drive digital technology adoption and advocate for reference architectures and standards.
- Business Insight Developer : Gain a deep understanding of BECU’s business model to support and achieve partner business goals.
- Technology Trend Analyst : Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impacts.
- Feedback Facilitator : Create mechanisms to gather and utilize feedback for continuous service improvement.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing Lending and Card related systems.
- At least 7 years of Technology leadership experience, including supervision.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in solution design and implementation for large and strategic project teams.
- At least 3 years in a digital technology project or product leadership role.
- Proficient in application security and cloud-native security architecture in modern Technology Architectures (e.g., Microservices / SOA, IAM, CI / CD).
- Understanding of Lean / Agile / Scrum principles, ITSM, and Cybersecurity SDL.
- Knowledge of security / risk management frameworks (NIST, COBiT, ISO 27001, ITIL).
Preferred Qualifications :
- Excellent leadership skills to develop a highly motivated and competent architecture team.
- Proven strategic planning, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in IT business partnership roles in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
- Familiarity with architecture practices and frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, Sabsa).
- Relevant certifications in scaled agile, cybersecurity, or related areas.
