BACKGROUND


As part of its commitment to deliver education to more students in more parts of the world, Navitas has joined with Deakin University (AU) and Lancaster University (UK) in an innovative partnership to manage and operate a new joint university campus in Indonesia.

Bringing together a combined reputation for world-leading education and research, and extensive experience in international education, the Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will deliver the highest quality, affordable educational opportunities to Indonesian and international students, while also working to support the education, research and human capital priorities of the Indonesian Government. It will also advance Indonesia’s reputation as an appealing international education destination.

The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI) campus will open to students in September 2024, offering five dual undergraduate programs in the areas of Business and Information Technology. The dual degree programs combine subjects from undergraduate programs at both universities, enabling students to achieve two individual degree qualifications (two testamurs) in just three years of undergraduate study. The campus will also offer ELICOS courses and a one-year foundation year as a direct pathway to the three-year undergraduate programs.

The Indonesia campus will be located in Bandung, West Java, which is recognised as an important and vibrant location for higher education in Indonesia. Students and teachers will be part of a thriving education community attracting diverse student cohorts from across Indonesia and globally.

Navitas as a Global Education provider will lead the operational delivery of the campus, building on its existing partnerships with both universities.

ABOUT THE ROLE


The Director, Student Recruitment (DSR) will lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of successful Student Recruitment activities to significantly grow and exceed recruitment targets for Deakin University and Lancaster University Indonesia. This includes the development of new business opportunities and partnerships domestically & internationally to further promote the joint Deakin Lancaster University brand.

As a senior leader, the Director, Student Recruitment will bring to the role experience, passion and drive with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets in the Indonesian higher education sector.

THE PERSON WE SEEK MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Successful and proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and recruitment targets in the Indonesia Higher Education sector.
  • Ability to successfully lead, manage and build a high achieving team to meet and exceed targets; to inspire team members to explore and engage in all avenues of sales, marketing and Student Recruitment.
  • Ability to leverage existing personal network of contacts in the international education market for immediate impact.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and management of strategic / operational planning and budgets to achieve successful, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to create value, develop and deliver executive recommendations and strategies including high quality presentations and documents.
  • Proven ability to apply commercial rigour and business acumen to decision-making.
  • Strong track record in executing conversion and retention strategies through a CRM and lead management automation tools.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively within dynamic environments, with focus on collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated sales skills and appropriate knowledge of the business environment and applications for the company’s products and services.
  • Analytical mind with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in verbal and written Bahasa Indonesia

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience working in the global Higher Education sector.
  • Experience building and nurturing agent relationships in the international education sector.
  • Knowledge and experience of PR, events promotion, advertising, digital marketing, branding, and building media presence would be well regarded.
  • Successful work experience in a multi-cultural environment.
