Job Specific Knowledge:
• Review hydrological engineering designs, studies, and reports to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and codes.
• Conduct hydrological assessments and studies to analyse surface water and groundwater conditions, precipitation patterns, and water management strategies.
• Collaborate with the design team, including hydrologists, civil engineers, and other disciplines, to address hydrological issues and ensure constructability.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on hydrological deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews to identify and resolve conflicts and ensure overall design integrity.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and consultants, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to water resources.
• Support the development of cost estimates and schedules for hydrological engineering activities.
• Conduct or contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions
• If required, prepare and/or oversee the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports
• Participate in design review meetings and provide input and feedback on engineering designs.
• Providing support and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Industry Specific Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hydrology engineering
• Prior experience in mining industry and/or resources industry is advantageous
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (minimum):
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Hydrology Engineering, Civil Engineering with a focus on hydrology, or any related field
• Registered in Professional Engineering Association (i.e: PII) is advantageous
