Electrical Engineer (Maintenance)

Job Description:

• Develop project scope and provide alternatives and recommendations to the project engineer, project manager, and project sponsor as per agreement with the project sponsor.
• Coordinate preparation of Electrical engineering construction drawings to ensure a comprehensive package is issued that is fully understood and constructible
• Develop Electrical technical specifications for equipment purchase.
• Develop cost estimates by following the project scope of work and technical specifications.
• Create material requisition for all equipment & material required in the project assigned, review technical and bid evaluation, and propose to project engineer and project manager for the best tender offer.
• Prepare and collate Electrical Engineering Work Package (EWP) documentation and commissioning procedure, to ensure all aspects of construction, safety, and quality are clearly defined.
• Perform periodic inspections to ensure the work is technically being performed by following EWP requirements.
• Resolve technical issues during project execution and complete commissioning after the project is completed, to ensure the project meets the planned objectives
• Responsible for the quality, technical competence, and professionalism of the engineering effort.
• Carry out integrated engineering design using best current practices and be able to accept responsibility for a safe and reliable result.
• Maintain document records and close out EWR on project completion, to ensure the comprehensive record is available for subsequent reference.
• Identify, develop, justify and implement cost-saving initiatives for Engineering work & equipment in his area of responsibility.

Key requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience as Electrical Engineer
• Having experience in handling fixed plants such as: crushers, boilers, grinders, etc.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
