Responsibilities:
Instrument & Automation
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems within the pulp mill.
- Manage automation projects, ensuring they align with production goals and are executed within established timelines and budgets.
- Lead and guide the automation team, providing technical expertise, mentoring, and support.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to integrate automation solutions seamlessly.
- Diagnose and resolve automation-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions in production.
- Identify opportunities for automation improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reductions.
- Ensure that automation systems meet industry standards, safety regulations, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Develop training programs for the automation team and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems.
Electrical
- Oversee electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Manage electrical maintenance teams, providing direction, supervision, and fostering a safe working environment.
- Develop and manage budgets for electrical projects and maintenance activities, optimizing resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all electrical activities.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as production and maintenance, to streamline operations and address electrical issues promptly.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems efficiently to minimize downtime and enhance overall plant reliability.
- Evaluate and implement electrical equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrument Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting, with specific experience in the pulp and paper industry preferred.
- Relevant electrical certifications, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license, if applicable.
- In-depth understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, motor control, and power distribution in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, DCS (Distributed Control System), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and other automation technologies.
- Substantial experience in automation project management and implementation within an industrial environment, with a focus on the pulp and paper industry preferred.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex automation issues efficiently.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with different departments and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and cybersecurity best practices related to automation systems.
- Willingness to stay updated on emerging automation technologies and trends.
- Clear and effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to various audiences.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.

- Willing to be placement in Tarakan, North Kalimantan (no roster system).
