Job Description
- Watch keeping and first line maintenance of fire water system, inert gas generator, fuel oil system, service and instrument air system, sewage treatment plant system, fire suppression foam system, FM200 system, boiler feed water system, fresh water system, bilge and related machinery system.
- Preparation, start-up, parallel and changeover of diesel generators, evaporative distillation and fresh water systems, sewage treatment plant, lubricating systems and hydraulic systems, control systems, lubricating oil and fuel purification systems, fuel transfer systems, heating and cooling utility systems.
- Leading safety and emergency procedures with respect to all machinery space fire detection and firefighting equipment and lifesaving appliances.
- Assist Mechanical Technician (Multi Skilling) to performs mechanical PM and CM, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and overhauls on mechanical and rotating equipment according to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Leading safety and emergency procedures with respect to all machinery space fire detection and firefighting equipment and lifesaving appliances.
Requirements
- Good understanding on Industrial Control System(ICSR) i.e. fire call process, access level into DCS, key management on shutdown system and diagram
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a 3rd Engineer on board tanker ships. Crude Oil and Gas Tanker experience is essential, mechanical multi skilling proficiency is an added value.
- Holding a valid Marine COC (Certificates Of Competency) at minimum of Class III, COE (Certificates Of Endorsement) and Certificates Of Proficiency (COP) as per STCW 2010 convention requirements.
- Capable of working in a multi-national environment, sensitive to the local culture and international workforce.
- Excelllence written and oral communication skills in English with TOEIC score minimum at 650.
- Understanding of control integrity management system (CIMS), safety management tools and production operations Best Practice/planning & budgeting.
- In depth knowledge in P&ID’s, PFD’s & UFD’s.
- Advance knowledge of general safety management tools and process (Permit to Work, LMRA, JSA, Human Performance concept).
