Some of your duties will include:
- Responsible to optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the POWER PLANT operations; ensuring that the plant operates at its peak performance, contributing to economic and environmental goals.
- Analyzing and optimizing the performance of the power generation process. This role involves a deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and POWER PLANT systems, particularly in the context of COMBINED CYCLE operations.
- Conduct thorough analysis of plant operations including gas turbines, steam turbines, and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG). Identify performance metrics and benchmarks.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the POWER PLANT. Focus on enhancing the thermal efficiency of the COMBINED CYCLE process.
- Collect, manage, and analyze data related to plant performance. Utilize advanced data analysis tools and techniques to assess operational efficiency.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues affecting plant performance. Provide technical expertise in addressing operational challenges.
- Prepare detailed performance reports. Document findings and make recommendations for improvements.
- Lead and participate in projects aimed at enhancing plant performance. Coordinate with different departments and external vendors as required.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in POWER PLANT technology. Evaluate and recommend new technologies or modifications to existing systems to improve performance.
- Ensure that performance enhancement initiatives comply with environmental and safety regulations.
- Work closely with other engineers, plant operators, and management. Communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in plant operations. Conduct regular reviews and update performance enhancement strategies.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. A Master’s degree in a related field is advantageous.
- Has related field with 7 years’ related experiences. Strong background in POWER PLANT operations, especially in a COMBINED CYCLE facility.
- General knowledge of all areas of industrial COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT maintenance; Competency and knowledge of the basic plant layout, equipment and systems of a large industrial project; In-depth knowledge of COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT operations and performance metrics. Understanding of environmental and safety regulations;
- Familiarity with performance analysis tools and methodologies; proficiency in data analysis software, and a solid understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
- Certifications in energy management or plant operations (such as Certified Energy Manager) are beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
- Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution.
