Job Purpose

Hyderabad Analysis team consists of SMEs with varied experience levels in Local, Global and Piping analysis disciplines. This team caters to both local and global business needs.

Team’s purpose is to provide timely reliable analysis expertise for project and product engineering requirements. Level of expertise required is dynamic.

Focus is on the following main areas.

  • Sales order project execution
  • New Product development
  • Field issues
  • New process development
  • Standardization efforts

The role consists of both technical and team management responsibilities. Provide technical leadership and guidance to structural (SACS) and piping (Autopipe) analysis of subsea production system equipment.

Drive innovative solutions to optimize subsea structure designs. Conversant with industry standards and codes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight and management to a team of engineers in achieving executional and strategic goals.
  • Responsible for engineering execution, resource utilization, team development, and development of engineering initiatives, associated budgets, schedules and supporting resource plans
  • Manages a team of up to 15-20 direct reports, comprising of engineering professionals of various experience and skill sets
  • Builds strong working relationships with peers and Engineering Teams around the globe and contributes to development of discipline
  • Develops strong relationships with vendors, TFMC specialists and contributes to process and specification development

Main Tasks

  • Staff organization with necessary talent, day to day management of projects and resources, and development of schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
  • Responsible for the following : Overall delivery of technical deliverables of the group Leadership of technical issue resolution Productive utilization and absorption of engineering resources Prioritization and planning of engineering activities and deliverables Technical talent management, engineering development Monitors KPIs and communicate engineering performance Identify and tackle root causes engineering challenges and issues Implements and maintains engineering processes based on Lean Engineering Philosophy with the aim to increase efficiency and productivity Ensures lesson learnt and best practices are captured, shared and implemented across projects and engineering disciplines
  • Motivates and empowers engineering resources to perform at consistently high levels, removes barriers, and holds them accountable for work output Builds the environment to foster collaboration and teamwork

Candidate requirements

  • BE or MTech in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant oil & gas industry experience
  • Experience specific to subsea system structures preferred
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in leading multi discipline special process Engineering Team
  • Knowledge of international offshore standards and structural design codes, such as ASME BPV, API RP 2A, AISC, ISO 19902, Eurocode 3, DNV and NORSOK.
  • General knowledge of Structural design techniques and analysis methods
  • General knowledge of piping layout, materials, and analysis methods
