They are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Specialist for the manufacturing operations in Indonesia.
Location: Solo or Surabaya, Indonesia

Job Description

This role:

  • Overseeing the Environmental domain to ensure seamless integration of sustainability initiatives within the strategic sustainability framework.
  • Conducting monthly environmental audits.
  • Ensuring the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of an integrated system encompassing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
  • Compiling relevant EHS reports for management review.
  • Performing quarterly audits of environmental and energy management systems.
  • Providing compliance training and orientation to new employees in newly operational areas.
  • Facilitating monthly and quarterly performance reviews for factories and updating compliance reports for management and brands.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Relevant Work Experience: Possess at least 1 year of proven experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and sustainability development, auditing in the local context of Indonesia. Preferably in fashion manufacturing industry.
  2. Knowledge of Local Regulations: Familiarity with local Indonesian legal requirements, including labor laws, fire safety regulations, and environmental standards and sustainability practices.
  3. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesian, facilitating effective communication with both internal teams and local stakeholders.
  4. Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills:Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams, both within the organization and with external partners.


This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the EHS, sustainability and compliance efforts of an international luxury product manufacturer while ensuring the well-being of the workforce and adherence to local regulations in Indonesia.
