Field Network Engineer

Field Network Engineer position will monitor and support critical network elements to maintain the continuous operation of the company's network and system infrastructure. Our client is a telecommunications network operator from Europe, established in 1996 in Slovenia. Following its expansion policy in SEE, our client has built the most advanced IP network and opened offices in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania and China where it has top-level teams of specialists.

Currently they looking for a young and talented Field Network Engineer. The main responsibilities are:

Job Description:

1. Technical Operations:

• Perform ticket management for the lifecycle of events between multiple internal departments and external vendor resources, ensuring to meet KPI's and the resolution of customer impacting events
• Requires experience in the network surveillance technical discipline; must have an understanding and working knowledge of network and system operations center and infrastructure within a telecommunications industry. Ability to perform complex assignments on time and within scope under minimal supervision
• Perform troubleshooting on network events, collaborating with other Operations, Engineering, and Vendor teams with a focus on restoring services to normal operation.
• Follow established principles and systems and procedures, using proper communication and terms to explain a specific field/incident.

2. Internal/External Communication:

• Communicate in a technical manner to internal and external customers about, but not limited to, current network status, training curricula, regulatory and compliance, network security, fraud operations, email, daily reporting, ticket management and root cause analysis. Duties are performed at various levels within the organizations
• Compile and submit notifications and reports on network status and activity
• Initiate notifications and escalations to management as determined by protocol

Qualification:

1. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
2. Cisco certification: minimum CCNA, CCNP appreciated
3. Mini 2 years experiences as a Network Engineer
