The Job

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure financial reports comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Accounting Functions:

• Support day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Tax Compliance:

• Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory filings.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
• Support tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position.

Audit Support:

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as requested.
• Participate in audit procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with audit requirements.

The Profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
