Fixed Asset & Capex Officer

Overview

Manage all Fixed Asset activities and ensure that Unilever's Fixed Assets are in good condition and ready to support Unilever's business activities. Apart from that, there is an additional function of the Capex Officer, namely carrying out study analysis, administration and control of each proposed capex and ongoing projects.

Job Description

• Monthly reviews of Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) balance, capitalization of asset readiness assessment with detailed breakup to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Involved in business case reviews with project lead and leadership team to ensure the accuracy and quality of the business case source data.
• Taking lead to make master data changes related to Fixed Assets and project such as asset disposal, creation of WBS, project closure, project extension, etc.
• Carry out periodic Fixed Asset verification, report the result, recommend the action plan, and taking lead to implement the action plan.
• Ensuring the depreciation value has been posted correctly every month.
• Initiate creation and pasting of asset tag after capitalization and ensure compliance to Unilever standard.
• Assist external parties (auditors, government) in their inquiries regarding Fixed Asset at any given point.
• Taking lead on capex spending forecast report.
• Recommend to management any updates of Global Unilever Accounting Policies related to Fixed Assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy.
• Above 3 years experience in Finance / Accounting.
• Good command in English both writing & speaking.
• Understanding Fixed Asset Accounting Cycle.
• Good acknowledge calculation for IRR, BEP, PV, Past Value, NPV.
• General knowledge and regulation for accounting principle standard.
