About Jiva:

Jiva is a venture incubated by OIam in late 2020 with a mission to transform smallholder farming and improve the lives of farmer

It provides four key services: 

• Offtake services: Direct procurement from farmers with transparency in prices and reliability in operations 
• Input eCommerce: Sales of Agri inputs directly to farmers as well as to village-level entrepreneurs/retailers while improving the availability of products and credits
• Credit services: Credit as a service to farmers, input retailers, and crop collectors for buying inputs and paying farmers in time
• Advisory platform: To educate farmers on best practices for growing their crops based on weather conditions and information like location, seed type, sowing date, etc.

Jiva is focused on smallholder farmers as we believe they are key to the future of agriculture, humanity & the planet; however they face significant challenges:

500 million smallholder farmers globally support over 2 billion people within their families. Yet they comprise the majority of the world’s poorest peopleSmallholder farmers produce 70% of the world’s food. Yet they comprise the world’s most undernourished, hungry populationThey are the most vulnerable to climate change which threatens up to 25% of crop yields

Since starting operations in Q1 2021, Jiva has worked with over 40k smallholder farmers in Indonesia to procure over 150,000 MT of corn. We are looking to exponentially grow our input eCommerce business to over USD 100 Mn business in the next 3 years.

About this opportunity:

We are looking for an exceptional Fulfillment Executive, who is passionate about our mission, to lead the fulfillment of the Agri-Inputs e-Commerce business of Jiva Indonesia. The role will be based out of East Java, reporting directly to the National Fulfillment Manager.

What you will do:

• Work with fulfillment center (product management) to build and implement an improvement plan to meet critical warehouse and business needs
• Develop a thorough, effective, and timely continuous improvement plan to meet our effectiveness & productivity targets
• Lead Kaizen events and other activities that execute the improvement plans
• Provide regular KPI reports with data and actions to measure progress against the plan objectives
• Work with our IT & product team to design features that will help deliver the required productivity improvements
• Train Warehouse leadership and other key personnel on Lean concepts
• Develop shop floor experts capable of driving Lean & 5S in their areas
• Maintain a detailed understanding of Lean & 5S best practices, and share best practices and knowledge with the regional team.

Who we are looking for:

• Extensive and proven experience of 5+ years in fulfillment of e-commerce (Agri inputs eCommerce experience will be an added plus)
• Fluent and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa are required
• Extensive experience in a leadership role in the fulfillment of e-commerce
• Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Highly energetic and self-motivated
• Results driven-focus on operations & scale
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, and meet deadlines
• An articulate communicator with highly developed presentation and interpersonal skills
