Full Stack Web Developer (Shopify)

We are currently seeking a full-time Shopify Specialist / Shopify Developer. Duties consist of configuring and maintaining our Shopify system, customizing and editing the Themes and Settings, and identifying suitable 3rd Party Apps to meet our business requirements. The candidate will also be developing, and supporting external Headless Applications using the Shopify APIs.

Job Desk Description:

• Install, Configure, Administer, and Maintain our Shopify system and projects
• Create custom features (example: Customized Cart) and Headless Applications on top of Shopify
• Identify, customize and implement suitable Themes and 3rd Party Apps to achieve business goals
• Create and maintain APIs to allow external applications to access and update Shopify data
• Integrate Shopify with external systems, including but not limited to Hubspot, 3PL Carrier Services, Notification Engines, Payment Gateways, Inventory, Loyalty Systems
• Maintain all our Shopify Storefronts and Environments (Development, UAT, Production) and ensure that the codebase are replicated to GitHub
• Coordinate with our Marketing Team to make/ensure that web design changes are properly deployed and synchronzed to all Storefronts
• Keep abreast of Shopify feature enhancements and deprecations and ensure all applications are updated accordingly

Candidate Profile :

• We aspire to disrupt the existing industry practices, and seek a high energy candidate that has strong analytical and critical thinking skills that can think outside the box.
• Meticulous, detailed oriented in nature.
• Familiar with the full end-to-end installation and configuration of Shopify, and the different native settings available within Shopify (example: Shipping/Fulfilment, Gifts/Discounts, Notifications)
• At least 1 years of hands-on experience with Shopify developments, with intimate knowledge of the LIQUID and JS files structures within the Theme folders, and how they inter-relate to the entire life cycle of Shopify, from product creation, order management, payment management, user/customer management, to shipping/fulfilment, Payment and Checkout, and be ready to customize these workflows.
• Familiar with Shopify Themes and Templates, and willing to perform HTML/JavaScript Web Design changes.
• Good understanding of data structure of Shopify objects and how their dependencies, and the Shopify APIs.
• Experience with the open source codes available to create headless application to integrate with Shopify would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
• Must be a self-starter & be able to work with minimum documentation and supervision
