General Manager, Poultry Farm (Breeder / Broiler) - Work At Malaysia

Job Responsibilities:

•  Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of farm operations to ensure sustained performance, growth, profitability, and market share.

• Execute operational plans and strategies, efficiently managing production to achieve optimal growth and profit alignment with company objectives and business unit strategies.

• Implement targeted operational plans to foster continuous growth and long-term sustainability specific to Breeder / Broiler poultry business units.

• Evaluate financial performance, scrutinize variances, and implement corrective measures to achieve profitability objectives.

• Provide guidance to the sales team, ensuring effective collaboration and performance within the business unit.

• Apply cost control measures to meet financial targets and optimize profitability for operations.

• Oversee Farm production, operations, and logistics to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.

• Ensure that daily Farm operation parameters are effectively managed by monitoring and assessing the performance of each operational unit.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Farm operations to encourage consistency and efficiency.

• Enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer expectations in Broiler Breeder farming.

• Uphold and enforce quality control measures to maintain consistent and high-quality broiler breeder feed products.

• Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify and address any quality issues within Broiler Breeder operations.

• Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements, initiating cost-saving initiatives for Broiler Breeder farming.

• Plan human resources, including reviewing organizational structure, workforce planning, recruitment, and succession planning, to ensure an adequate workforce for sustaining business operations and growth in farming.

• Recruit, train, and develop a capable and motivated team of leaders and employees within the business unit.

• Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training to ensure a secure workplace for all employees and external stakeholders within Farm operations.

Requirements:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Animal Science, Business Administration. A master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.

• Demonstrate proven experience in a senior management role overseeing multiple poultry business units.

• Have an in-depth understanding of poultry production processes, encompassing breeding, nutrition, health management, biosecurity welfare, and industry regulations.

• Exhibit expertise in operations management, supply chain management, quality control, procurement procedures, and quality control specific to broiler Breeder / Broiler farming.

• Demonstrate financial management skills, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

• Be acquainted with industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

• Show awareness of sustainable farming practices and emerging trends in the industry.
