Uraian Tugas

Position: General Manager

Job Description: PT.Segara Mitra Abadi is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ship agency operations, driving business growth, and ensuring the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the ship agency business, including operations, sales, customer service, and financial performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve company objectives and targets.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork among employees, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping lines, port authorities, and other stakeholders in the maritime industry.
  • Oversee vessel operations, including port clearance, documentation, cargo handling, bunkering, and crew services, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes affecting the ship agency business and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand our client base, increase market share, and drive revenue growth.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control, to ensure profitability and sustainability of the business.
  • Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies in ship agency services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the maritime industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role in ship agency services.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing ship agency operations and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Deep understanding of port operations, maritime regulations, and industry practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective strategies.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving business objectives and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
