Government Relations Specialist

Job Description

• Formulate and execute strategies in engaging with government's stakeholders, and ensuring that alignment is within the company's objectives.
• Maintain and build relationships with state policymakers, industry associations, political figures. 
• Prepare spokespeople for media interviews, regulatory meetings, and public appearances.
• Work in close collaboration with legal team, in particular, providing communications counsel and support, to ensure message accuracy and consistency.
• Responsible for providing regulatory advice and driving government engagement, supporting strategic partnerships and programs and helping promote brand, corporate reputation and business.
• Represent company at industry forums, association and government events.

Is this you?

• A bachelor degree, ideally graduating from Law, Public Policy, Political Sciences or related field.
• 3-5 years in Government Relations/affairs role from relevant industry (ideally automotive industry or mobility or logistic businesses).
• Strong understanding of Indonesian government structures, policies and regulatory frameworks and the ability to understand the business implications of public policy ability to the business.
• Having the right network to relevant government agencies and stakeholders, including but not limited to Kementerian Investasi/BKPM, Kementerian Perindustrian, Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup, Kementrian Keuangan, and Korps Lalu Lintas Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia.
• Plus points if you have political campaign experience.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
