Job Description
Reporting to the Manufacturing Head - Cell & Module, Ingot & Wafer, you will be responsible for:
- Implement manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with Company plan and customer needs.
- Create and execute policies and programs to maximize capacity and ensure high quality and low costs.
- Work with leaders from cross functional teams, such as Technology, Product Management and Sales to execute on the product roadmap.
- Develop an adaptable organization to handle new technologies and new manufacturing/ engineering processes.
- Monitor, improve productivity and drive continuous improvements for cost reduction for labour, reduce scrap and ensure high quality products
- Create production tracking and quality control systems and analyze productions to determine problems and suggest processing and staffing changes.
- Set up policies in material usage, capacity planning, production methods and employee relations to enhance operation efficiency.
- Direct manufacturing engineering efforts to ensure Company facilities and equipment are adequately designed, built and maintained.
- Closely coordinate with sourcing and procurement activities and support the negotiations of major procurement contracts to provide proper cost, delivery and quality commitments.
- Leadership responsibility for the management of contract manufacturers (CMs), transportation partners (carriers) and 3rd party logistics providers (3PL) in the areas of manufacturing, logistics, warehouse management, inventory control and contract performance.
- Develop and provide suppliers with forecasts that achieve reasonable predictability of future customer requirements to enable suppliers to operate efficient production processes and enable informed procurement and production capacity decisions.
- Create and implement new logistics models and processes that will drive all hardware product capabilities to benchmark levels (industry best practices) and meet current and future customer needs globally.
